Co-Enrollment

Students who receive the ESA+ may enroll full-time in a private school or choose from a variety of co-enrollment options.

Co-enrollment in a public school is contingent on the policies of the local public school district.

  • Full-time public school is not an option for ESA+ recipients except in rare circumstances.* See the ESA+ School Choice page for more information.

  • Full-time home school or public school is not an option for Opportunity Scholarship recipients. Opportunity Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a Direct Payment School so that funds are deposited on behalf of the student for use at that school. Funds from an Opportunity Scholarship cannot be sent to a public school or home school.

ESA+ Scholarship Funds

Note: There is a reduced total scholarship award for ESA+ recipients who co-enroll part-time in a public school. ESA+ recipients may use scholarship funding for tuition and required fees at a Direct Payment School or for ESA+ Reimbursement Schools. ESA+ scholarship funding cannot be used for tuition and fees at a home school or be sent to a public school.
